“Tech came in and looked at the unit for less than 5 minutes and without showing me why or giving any explanation or even looking at the outside unit he then proceeded to try to sell me a new unit based on the age of the unit. Had to pay him $100 for his sales pitch and then had another company come out and fix it in 15 minutes. This was going on a year ago and a/c still working fine”

“Initially my experience with this company was very positive.My last experience with this company was quite the opposite.The service tech who came out to my home to service my ac during a routine scheduled maintenance call informed me that my secondary drip pan was corroded and the only way to replace it was to take the whole unit out to get to the drip pan so recommended strongly that it would be more cost effective to replace the unit at that time time. My ac unit was 8 years old. Two factors were explained to us in previous service calls that would lengthen the lifetime of our ac unit..the first was to regularly change the filters inside and the second was to regularly clean out the condensate line outside..both of which we had been doing regularly in addition to the 2 times a year service maintenance contract.The cost of different units was explained to me should I decide to replace mine. Because of the expense of such and the fact that my unit was only 8 years old and we regularly serviced it I got a second opinion. So glad I did.My ac unit is running just fine.I used this company one more time only because I had already paid for 2 maintenance checks per year and so still had one more service owed to me. Everything checked out just fine on the second visit. I will no longer be using the services of this company.If you are diligent about maintaining your ac unit and servicing it regularly you should get more than 8 years out of your unit..”

“I find that Direct Energy Services Retail's technicians for their air conditioning are pushing other products that are more expensive. They were wanting me to get this ultraviolet protection which would help my health. I did sign a monthly payment program which is more expensive. Their advertising is misleading. I do not like the treatment of being intemidating. They came out saying that I don't need freon but that I need to replace my coils.”
