“Pattern Pro exemplifies poor workmanship and a lack of integrity and character. Within a month of installation, cracks began to form in a section of the concrete that was poured near our side entry door. After multiple requests over 3 months for Pattern Pro to come and inspect the issues, Mike did finally come out to inspect the failed section of concrete. Upon inspection, Mike left saying he would discuss the situation with his co-owner and contact me to discuss a plan forward. That was April 29th of this year, and I have yet to hear back from Pattern Pro, even after I reached out again in June requesting a response. At the very least, a reputable business would follow up with some level of communication after such a meeting. Instead, Pattern Pro ignored the situation, exhibiting a lack of business ethics. This company does not stand by their product, and will ignore their customers once the invoice has been paid. Take your money and your business elsewhere.”
“Cut corners on job, didn't follow client instructions, and didn't follow-up on calls after job was done.”

“Pattern Pro Concrete installed our patio on time, without wasted time, professionally, and cost effectively.”
“Mike was very professional and knowledgeable about the processes from demo to completion. The crew worked well, and when asked questions the lead person answered and explained what was being done.”

“Cosmetically, the ~270 sq ft stamped concrete patio project turned out as I imagined (pattern, colors, border, sealing, etc.). Very pleased about that. However, every time it rains or the lawn irrigation runs, a large ~50 sq ft puddle of water pools in the center of the slab. Very disappointed about that and therefore I would not recommend this company to others for concrete projects.”

“Long Version My ongoing experience with Pattern Pro Concrete: This was an $18,118 project. Not a small amount. The project started March 15, 2022 and finished March 20, 2022. Per the contract, the project was to be performed and completed in a “substantial workmanlike manner” and have the appearance of natural stone. There is no consistency/uniformity from area to area. All of the crew members did not seem adequately trained and qualified as evidenced by the results. I have a front porch overlay done by a different company for comparison (That company no longer works in my area). Included was an additional charge of $3,000 for a drainage system that was supposed to come with a plumber per our conversation (which one was the plumber?). The crew did not know how to run the drain line into the yard. The drain line Pop-up Valve on the South side ended up 6-8” underground with a foot and a half hole around it. The North side Pop-up Valve ended up 6-8” above ground, the drain pipe was above ground too. Also on the North side, an 18” section of line going to a sprinkler head was cut out and removed, then covered up. This was not workmanlike quality by trained workers. I made these corrections/work-arounds and repairs myself. Additional sloppiness: The pool was covered with plastic to protect the pool. When the project was finishing up, the plastic was pulled off, dumping all of the debris into the pool. It took days to clean this up. The concrete pieces and clay that was removed for the drain was spread (shovel full at a time) along the outer edges of the yard into the plants. I have spent hours removing this and still have not got it all. I am still finding more. Problems with the Stamped Overlay that need to be corrected. • Cracks and Flaking along the drainage. After approximately 4 months, cracks started forming along the drain lines. These cracks are slowly continuing to spread down the length of the drains. The crew sawed the section out of the existing concrete and replaced it with the drain and other cement material. This was not an existing crack in the concrete as referenced in the response to the BBB complaint by Pamela B. If this was expected, I should have been informed when we were discussing it and I would have made a different decision. The crack is not straight, meaning the cut was not straight, which will be harder to correct. • Being outdoors, some tree leaves apparently fell on the material and was stamped into the overlay rather than removing them. The overlay on some, if not all of the leaves, have come off, exposing the leaf and/or the white material underneath. • Ridges/Mohawks. These were present at the completion of the job. The crew referred to them as Mohawks. Some were tall enough to be a trip hazard. This is sloppiness in the workmanship. The pool section was done first and looks acceptable with 2 places. The South side of the covered area was next and has two larger places. Towards the back door (in the last third of the project), the work got sloppy with 26 +/- cluster groups of ground places. I could see these being left behind but thought that there must be another part to the process since I did not see any on other parts of the overlay and had not watched the whole process. If I could see them, the crew could see them. Later, I asked about the ridges and was told they could be ground down. Okay. However, the guy with the grinder got carried away and ground spots all over the surface and did not let up as he was finishing a spot, leaving recognizable tool marks and gouges in the surface. And, when the areas were being recolored, the color was darker and did not blend. These ground areas do not look natural and need to be fixed. I assumed that all of the crew members were trained and experienced. If they were, then they just didn’t care, considering the number and types of flaws in the project. The supervisor was the only one who seemed to know what he was doing but was busier than the others with his parts and unable to watch everything going on as it was happening. I have now watched Stamped Concrete videos and closely looked at the gallery on the Pattern Pro website. I do not see any of these issues. I have talked with outside companies and sent pictures of the work. They advised to get Pattern Pro back out to make the corrections or have another company do it. They are not acceptable. When the project was finished, the Project Manager/Owner did not come to check the quality of work. It took over four months to get someone out to look at this. Original Text and phone call to Mike, May 9 (ignored). First email to office, May 13. Was told the crew would be out in 3-4 weeks. That was June 1. It is now September 26. Meeting September 26, 2022 with Mike Haisten (Owner) to view the repairs. He showed up with an aggressive attitude and the conversation turned into a heated argument – like I was another unreasonable, stupid customer. I went over the items previously addressed in this document. He defended parts of the work and would not comment on other parts. I addressed “workmanship”. He did not want to talk about it. Ridges – His solution: Use color in sealer and put over existing sealer to make it lighter and look “better”, not good. I have been told that this process can be used to go darker but is not recommended for lighter. He refused to strip the sealer to make the lighter color adjustment which is what was recommended by another company. He said he should have flagged it in the 2 week touch-up (there was no 2 week touch-up). He did not look at the job when it was being completed. Said there was 8 different textures in the overlay but was not willing to try and blend any of them into the ground areas. Refused to discuss altering the gouged wheel shapes due to the integrity of the material. No one was concerned about integrity when the worker was grinding 30 +/- places. He said if something happened and the “stone shapes” cracked and had to be replaced, that it would look like a patch job. This was the only “Solution” he was offering, would not discuss any other options and became more aggressive when pushed. Cracks – attitude was “yes” it was going to crack. Offered to grind out cracks that currently exist (not the path where they will continue to spread) and put mastic in. This would look bad and out of place. Leaf imprints – said he would fix them, didn’t say how. He pointed out areas where the sealer was missing. I had not recognized those spots. He said that this meeting should have only lasted 15 minutes (It was 1.5 hours). That he would come in, evaluate the job, offer “A” solution, and leave. No solution was agreed to at the meeting. He insisted that his company promptly returns all calls and emails. They did before the contract was signed, however, I’m still waiting for my callback or text from May 9. His office did not respond to all emails (I have the email chain) and the ones they did, were just polite excuses or put offs. In reading reviews on other sites, being ignored is a common complaint. On September 29, I received an email from his office stating that he would have a crew “replace approximately five to ten stones as needed”. Previously, he said that if any stones were replaced, they would look like a patch job. And 5 to 10 “stones” (Patch jobs) to cover up to 30 places/clusters? Some clusters spread over 3 “stones”. I replied back asking about this. As of October 6, I have not heard back. The contract terms do not exclude anything from the warranty that applies to this situation. I received emails from GuildQuality on August 1, 13, and 20th requesting this review.”
“I am not satisfied with the delivery of the product. I think their crew was very unprofessional. They did not clean up. I ended up having to clean up after them. When I talked to the supervisor about the quality of work, he said they would come by and see if they could make me satisfied, and I said okay, but they never showed back up again.”
“We are pleased with the end result of the patio stamped concrete. It took a long time from the initial contract to actually getting the work started. We ended up having a couple of punch items they needed to complete and that took awhile to work through. But, they have taken care of any outstanding issues.”
“Did not reach out to make appointment. We hired them I December and heard nothing from them about scheduling. When I did hear from them in early February they asked me if her guys could some “That day”. I had plans but was able to make it work”

“Salesman told me that the pool would be covered will the desk was being done. This was not done and I had a lot of dust from the sanding in my pool. There are two places in my spa where the color that they used around the lip of the desk was dropped into the pool and left spots. There is blue tape left around the base of the handles to get out of the pool. There are a couple of rough spots on the deck. Also some drips in the white around the tile were the color dripped down.”

“We had a horrible experience with them. The work they did was not what we had discussed. The finishing work was unacceptable and two other concrete companies that looked at it were appalled. We spent $6,000 on the patio and had to have the entire patio ripped out and redone by another company. When we tried to discuss the final product with the owner he defended the work and didn’t want to make it right.”

“I highly recommend Pattern Pro Concrete! Our patio is perfect. They matched the stains to compliment our existing brick and stone work. It looks like it was all done at once and not 5 years apart! They are excellent and easy to work with.”

“The reason I give them a 3-star recommendation is because a few months ago, our concrete has already started cracking in some areas and it has been a little over a year. I wasn't really happy with cleanup, they left debris where they would drink water and would toss the bottles in the hedges. I had to go over the yard and found several long nails in the yard. They would use nails and leave them there. There were also pieces of concrete that were left and I had to call Mike and say the guys had to come back and clean up. Those were my items: the cleanup. I talked to Mike and told him that was one drawback and to make sure the guys clean up the debris in the front yard. The debris was left for several days as they didn't take it every day so it was unsightly in the neighborhood.”
