“Too expensive”
“They were coming back to replace a hot water heater that they installed that was still under warranty. They don't stand by their products or the warranty work would have been free. Instead, the water heater warranty let me get a replacement (about $500 savings) but I had to pay Weltman to install it again (cost of about $2000). They could easily just keep putting faulty products in and come back to get further service fees. If you won't stand by the products you use, then maybe you shouldn't be installing them. Will not call them back again. Had their "service" plan, too. That was a joke. I spent hundreds of dollars a year for them to come out and look at my systems---only to recommend routine maintenance that was an additional fee. For what they charge, it should include some routine things like flushing the hot water heater, cleaning the coils on outside AC condenser, etc.”
“Weltman came in for winter service on our boiler. They correctly assessed an issue with a radiator and fixed it. They also used scare tactics and a hard sell to replace some pipe, that they said was a safety issue. In replacing the pipe they left a huge mess in our family room, ruined a rug and when I called they asked me to come up with what I thought compensation should be and offered to pay for cleaners - but not replace rug which couldn't be cleaned. They took weeks to finish the job and misquoted us or claimed the quote they gave didn't cover everything. Terrible experience for an already overpriced company. I used them for years but this is not the same company I used to use, something changed there. I will say, I think the work was done correctly but we spent thousands more than we should have.”

“We worked with Weltman to find someone to help fix a VERY old dryer. We thought it was a hail Mary but he was able to fix it and even came back free of charge when something else was wrong that we'd missed the first time. Very satisfied with the service and results!!”

“We had an urgent plumbing issue. The technician came out and lied about what needed to be done hence his inability to do it on his visit. He the. Promised he had scheduled an emergency appointment with this team the next morning when in fact he did not. So we were left hanging and had to contact another company. When we spoke to management about it, they said the technician gave them one story saying I had refused the service - which was a lie as we had the conversation next to an outside security camera and it was video taped. I have zero confidence in Weltman and would not recommend them to anyone.”

“Patrick was the service person dispatched to me by Weltman. He was very professional. He explained everything in detail to me. After many diagnostics were performed, which I witnessed, it was determined that it was not my water heater. I had an idea it was the water heater. While Patrick advised that the water heater was older and would require replacement in the not too distant future, that was not the cause of the water in my basement. The problem was caused by other areas including but not limited to the drainage system. I appreciated being educated on all of the diagnostics performed. We have had rain since the 7/13/2022 service call and I have not had additional water in the basement. I would recommend Weltmans based upon this service call.”

“I did a monthly service with them. I didn't have anything come out of that. I spent money for a year and didn't really get any service. I just canceled it. We had a problem with a broiler and they couldn't come out. They didn't have enough staff. I get that it was during the pandemic but it was a lot of money to spend month to month and then not be able to come out. The staff was always very nice.”
