“The painting job was not particularly good in spots. There were some places where I had told the painters I wanted windows sanded and they did not do it. Another thing was, even though they said that has a particular expertise in color matching, they used a color for the trim in the bathroom and the color is completely different. The tile is off-white and they painted the trim a bright white. I have already spoken with the person in charge but he has not rectified it.”

“Outdoor work: Poor communication between head office and painters, as well as between carpenters and painters. Some work was sloppy and had to be re-done. Some could have been done right the first time if they’d just communicated with each other. Indoor work: Painter gave us attitude in general, as well as about painting behind the radiators, and didn’t seem to know which rooms were supposed to be painted. Dropped paint onto our buffet. And recommended low-voc, which has since ripped on one wall. Why did we pay the top painting company all this money only to deal with contractors? Will never work with your company again. But we’re in Somerville so you probably don’t care anyway.”
