“This is one of the few companies in our area that does carry the highest level of certification, master elite, from the manufacturer that allows them to offer the full extended warranties available. Others can and did claim that they are certified, but I found out the real story when I spoke to the manufacturer's warranty department. Some had let their certification lapse, others were certified at a lower "entry" level that restricted the length of time that the warranty applied. The price difference for the highest quality warranty was judged to be insignificant considering the quality of materials used.”

“The overall work was completed professionally as far as my neighbors and I can tell. The crew arrived on time, were very fast and completed the roof replacement in one day. There were few moments where the company went beyond their duty and others were disappointing. Good one: while the crew were replacing my roof they blew the power to my house. I could not restore it by flipping breakers, but the manager was very kind to call his electricians, who came, check everything and actually just flipped the breakers that were a bit stuck. They didn't take any money for call, which I appreciated a lot. The disappointing parts: 1) the crew severely damaged my garden, which I had to completely replant after a winter storm. I had several very rare and expensive shrubs and trees that were seriously damaged. They broke a half of very young new Japanese maple tree. Before they started their work, the crew put plastic sheet over the plants, but that of course does not protect the plants from asphalt shingles been dropped from three-story high roof. The guys had a garbage container near the back of the house, but when removing shingles from the front they just dropped them onto the garden below. It was heartbreaking for me to see because I spent the whole month every day working on this garden, and having them disrespecting my work was painful to see. If I knew that there will be no protection for the garden from shingles, I would have put up a tarp above the garden stretching it between the house and the fence. 2) We had some issues with Houston city permit. They requested it two days before the scheduled job day even though we scheduled it way before that. They did the job with me thinking that the permit has been granted, however only the plans were approved, they needed to purchase the permit before starting the job, which they didn't do. And I had to call them and call the permitting center quite a few numbers of times before it was resolved. That been said, I still think the guys did a great job on the roof, and I definitely use them again with some self-preparation.”

“Excellent quality materials and very professional quality work. Roof was started and finished in two days. Finished roof shingles were beautiful, and matched the color and style shown in the literature. The Project Manager listened patiently to all of my concerns and quickly addressed any issues. I selected the hurricane resistant shingles and received a discount on my homeowners insurance. I highly recommend Houston Roofing and construction to anyone planning to put new shingles on their roof. The neighbors are jealous!”
