“Lyons Contracting replaced my roof in January 2024. They were immediately responsive when first contacted, and completed the roofing work quickly. However, during their work they identified that the fascia board in the back needed to be replaced, and the rear gutters rehung or replaced. I have tried several times since January 2024 to have them complete that work, but they have been unresponsive. It's a shame. I am pleased with the roofing work and would have hired them for more work, but they won't return my phone calls.”

“Lyons Contracting did an excellent job on my roof replacement. The company did my neighbor's roof and she recommended them. Tom was very responsive to my request for a proposal for a roof replacement. He came to my house the day after I called him to discuss what I wanted and what should be done. He quickly generated a proposal and cost estimate. When we accepted, we decided we wanted some additional work and Tom very quickly provided a revised cost estimate. The work was scheduled to begin two days after signing the contract. The crew showed up on time on the scheduled day and went straight to work. Throughout the workday, they answered any questions we had. They were very professional, courteous, and friendly. Tom and the company were very professional throughout the entire process. He never tried to up sell any materials or unnecessary services. I can't commend him and the crew enough. I highly recommend them.”

“I've known Tom Petrilli, Lyons' owner, for many years. He completely replaced our roof 20 years and idid a very neat and professional lob. A small leak occurred several years later having to do with a complicated piece of flashing around a skylight. He completely tore off the problem area, repaired it at no charge, and even expressed regret that the problem happened! We had a separate problem occur last year which had nothing to do with Tom's work, but he did another thorough repair of that as well and helped me avoid some serious possible water leakage damage to our living room ceiling. In short, Tom is the best!!”

“I had another contractor over to do some work and give an estimate on a new roof. Their estimate was very expensive and they also caused a leak on the roof after removing a satellite dish improperly. They came out and allegedly fixed the issue, but they did not do anything. I had been in contact with Tom Petrilli about an additional quote on the roof and I immediately called Tom for assistance with the leak. Tom had a team out within 24 hours to patch the roof before I even entered into a contract with Lyons for the roof replacement. The attentiveness and service from Tom was fantastic. I have already recommended Lyon and Tom to 3 or 4 additional neighbors.”

“Lyons Contracting did a great job replacing our roof. We have a flat roof on a rowhouse in suburban DC and they did a very good job replacing the old roof with a TPO covering that provides great reflectivity of sunlight, keeping the house cool during the summer. We received several estimates and theirs was competitive. Lyons was also able to perform the work far sooner than some of the other companies: within several weeks as opposed to several months. The owner is a straight shooter and will tell you what you need or don't need.”
