“Power replaced most of the windows in our house 15 months ago. They made a huge difference in our summer air conditioning bill. I saw one of their representatives at the local HEB and told him how pleased we were. I agreed to have them come out to quote for their “energy sphere” radiant heat barrier for the attic as well as our two sidelight windows by the front door as well as our two garage windows. Power sent its team out for the energy sphere and the installers were polite, worked quickly and did a phenomenal job. Once the 4 windows were custom made, they came and put the windows in very quickly. Again the installers were polite, did a thorough complete job quickly with a phenomenal clean up job. Last night it was in the 30’s but my garage was pleasantly warm (about 65 degrees). With the sidelights installed we notice a significant drop in outside noise. I highly recommend Power Home Remodeling if you need new windows, doors, or to save on your heating and cooling costs!”

“The decision-making process for the homeowner was rushed due to "financing advantages" offered if the customer agrees to the job on the same day as the offer is made on the first visit. The first visit was meant to be an inspection of the need and offer a quote; however, the price differs by a few $1,000s between approving the job on the same day vs. signing on within a reasonable few days later. This rushed process was evident in the follow-up visit for measuring purposes and in the completion of the project. Again, the rushed decision led to a situation leaving us with no window treatments and now having to scramble to find an energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing solution to window treatments.”

“From my perspective, the installation went fine. There were several things said up to the installation date that did not end up being true. I am having to spend a few thousand more dollars to get things back to the way they were. The custom shape of the frame and things that were not adequately communicated are causing us to have to spend more money, as, for example, our blinds do not fit anymore. I asked for our solar to be placed back, and many were magled and went missing. On the day of the installation, no one communicated until the end of the day that they did not have all the windows loaded on the truck, so they would have to come back a couple of days later to finish the job. That was supposed to be communicated earlier but wasn't. I had to take another day off of work, and it was a hassle. I did not appreciate that at all. One of the leads on the installation crew was Derrick, who did an awesome job repairing what he could, and I was happy about that, but they did not communicate that things were broken. I would have liked more transparency there. Things that were told leading up to the day of installation that were not true would cause me to not recommend Power Home Remodeling to anyone.”

“There is no denying that the final product is high quality and energy efficient, but there are numerous aspects of my experience with Power that make me unlikely to recommend to others. On the initial consultation, the remodeling consultant spent over 4 hours at my place going over her sales pitch, and in the process told me several things which I later found out were not even true. I was initially told that if I agree on the spot to have some remodeling done, I am locked in to the "first time discount" for essentially eternity. Specifically, if I agree to get windows remodeled now, I am locked in to the first time discount even if I choose to get new gutters or doors even 5 years down the line (even as material costs continue to rise). In addition, I repeatedly made it clear that when undertaking a project of this cost I would like to have some time to discuss things over and think them through for at least a few days. Instead, I was continually pressured into accepting high-interest payment plans to finance the project. I would have at least liked to have been given an option to pay for the project without having to take a credit hit, which the remodeling consultant completely failed to understand.”

“It was difficult to reach anyone; I was not given a specific contact to call. I had to call the main number in Georgia, and they would transfer me to the local branch. The guy showed up to drop off the supplies when I told them not to because it was going to rain. I didn't want it sitting out over the weekend. The job itself was ok. They are not a full-service roofing company because they don't do anything connected to the roof. Soffit or fascia issues or trim they did not do. Tied into the gutter work, they don't do anything with the soffit and fascia. There were areas that were not replaced because they did not do that work. They overpromise and underdeliver. Their initial inspector missed things. It was baffling. The initial inspector who came out after the salesperson did not note issues we were having with the joists in the attic; the post-work inspector told us it was an issue. Overall, I was displeased with them. The gutter work was supposed to have someone come out and check the work, and one gutter I saw was not draining; it was just holding water.”
